Endless Mode is a new game mode available in Orcs Must Die! 2. In this mode waves continue to spawn until all rift points have been depleted. Endless Mode is comprised of a combination of unique levels, Classic levels, and Story Mode levels.
During gameplay, there will be some breaks between waves of incoming Orcs, upon which the player(s) and all Traps and Guardians are reset to full health/status. The player(s) may sell and replace Traps and Guardians at will during this period.
The game clock will continue to run during Go Breaks (except in the initial set-up phase), and the next wave will only be called in when all players present push 'G'.
Following is a list of Go Breaks in Endless Mode:
- Before Wave 1 (Initial set-up phase)
- Between Waves 3 and 4
- Between Waves 6 and 7
- Between Waves 9 and 10
- Between Waves 12 and 13
- Between Waves 15 and 16
- Between Waves 18 and 19
- Between Waves 21 and 22
- Between Waves 24 and 25
After that, there are no more Go Breaks.
Level Skulls are gained in Endless Mode depending on how many waves the player(s) completed. They are awarded as follows:
In addition, 1 skull is granted for every five waves completed.
