There are very few policies which apply across all Wikia. These can be found on the Central Wikia at Wikia:Category:Policy.
When uploading images, make sure to give the file a proper name. Focus on making it easy to find with a search query. Examples of proper names are:
Avoid automatic generated names by screenshot tools. Bad examples are:

Crop images in a way the e.g. weapon is completely visible, while leaving out as much of the environment as possible. Where possible, use transparency and cut out the object. Avoid elements of the User Interface in screenshots. Try to make the screenshot in as neutral looking lighting as possible. The preferred MIME-type is image/png.
Image thumbnails should have a maximum width of 256px when used in mainspace articles.
When uploading images, always specify the correct license.
Tone and language
All articles, excluding quotes, should be written in third person. Substitute instances of I and you with the War Mage or the player.
Articles in the mainspace should be written as if they were about historical events, real-people, or objects that existed on Earth. We do strive to offer suggestions and walkthroughs, however, this process should not blatantly interfere with the historical tone of an article. Walkthroughs should be concise.
Do not sign edits with your name or date. Talk pages and forums require a signature and timestamp, but articles do not. The wiki software automatically records the author and date of each edit made, so there is no need for additional, in-line attribution.
Video walkthroughs should not be directly embedded into articles. Upload them and place a link in the article to the walkthrough in the Video-namespace.
